Women Investment Professionals Welcomes New President and Vice President

(CHICAGO, IL – June 28, 2017) Women Investment Professionals (WIP), a leading not-for-profit organization for professional women in the institutional investment management industry, today welcomed Christina Cryer as its new president and Susan Small as its new vice president. Both Christina and Susan will assume their new roles this month as former president Bonnie Stanfield completes her two-year term.

Christina Cryer, Head of U.S. Consultant Relations for WisdomTree Asset Management, previously served as WIP’s Vice President. Christina has over 16 years of investment industry experience, with extensive experience working with institutional investment consultants.

Susan Small, Head of Institutional Client Coverage, Americas at UBS Asset Management, was Vice President Elect and previously served as the organization’s Sponsorship Committee Chair. With over 25 years of experience in the institutional asset management industry, Susan has held senior sales and marketing roles with several leading asset managers including UBS, Deutsche Asset Management and Mackenzie Institutional.

Said Bonnie Stanfield, outgoing WIP president and Director of Consultant Relations at Putnam Investments, “I’ve worked closely with Christina and Susan over the last two years and I’m thrilled to see them stepping forward to lead this great organization, which now represents 325 women in the institutional asset management industry.”

(CHICAGO, IL – September 20, 2016) Women Investment Professionals (WIP), a leading not-for-profit women's networking organization for the institutional asset management industry, announced it will be awarding its prestigious “Distinguished Woman Investment Professional of the Year” award to Deb Clarke, Global Head of Investment Research of Mercer Investment Consulting. The award will be presented at WIP’s Annual Trailblazer Dinner to be held October 27, 2016 at The University Club of Chicago. Click here to register.

The featured keynote at this event will be Jana Schreuder, the first female Chief Operating Officer for The Northern Trust Corporation. In addition, WIP Founders Joanne Hickman Dodd, SVP of Relationship Management at Capital Group, and Carla Straeten, retired Managing Director at PNC Capital Advisors, will be honored with the Founders Award.

Geri Hansen, Attucks Asset Management, LLC, Receives the WIP 2015 Trailblazer of the Year Award

This prestigious recognition was presented to Ms. Hansen at WIP’s Annual Awards Dinner for her outstanding contributions and achievements in the institutional asset management industry

WIP  awarded their prestigious “Trailblazer” award to Geri Hansen, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Attucks Asset Management, LLC at WIP’s Annual Awards Dinner held on October 22, 2015 at The University Club of Chicago. Ms. Hansen was honored by WIP for her outstanding contributions and accomplishments in the institutional asset management industry.

Honoring Ms. Hansen and the Keynote for the event was Geeta Aiyer, CFA, President and Founder of Boston Common Asset Management, an investment manager focused on global sustainability initiatives with a proprietary Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) framework.

“Geri encapsulates what our members strive for as she is making a true difference in the institutional asset management industry and paving the way for other talented, highly-motivated women who want to obtain optimal success in this industry,” said Bonnie Stanfield, President of Women Investment Professionals and a Consultant Relations Director at Putnam Investments. “Every year we gather together the industry’s best to celebrate the many contributions and successes of not only the recipient of the Trailblazer Award, but also all of our members and women in this industry.
